CITIES RECEIVE $148.9 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $31.8 MILLION
The January distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from November business. Companies that remit more than $2,500
monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from November 16th to November 30th and estimated sales from December 1st to December 15th.
The disbursement of $137,816,935 in sales tax collections was returned to 510 cities and towns reflecting an increase of $2,107,314 from the $135,709,621 distributed to 510 cities and towns in January last year. The use tax disbursement of $11,072,254 was distributed between 382 cities and towns.
In county returns, 76 counties shared in a $29,289,326 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,543,949 was distributed between 74 counties.
