CITIES RECEIVE $134.1 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $30.1 MILLION

The March distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission
primarily represents local tax receipts from January business.  Companies that remit
more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. 
The monies they reported this period represent sales from January 16th to January 31st
and estimated sales from February 1st to February 15th.

The disbursement of $123,463,951 in sales tax collections was returned to 510 cities and
towns reflecting an increase of $586,386 from the $122,877,565 distributed to 507 cities
and towns in March last year.  The use tax disbursement of $10,596,716 was distributed
between 370 cities and towns.

In county returns, 77 counties shared in a $27,665,811 sales tax disbursement.  The use tax disbursement of $2,435,801 was distributed between 74 counties.

The following list includes new sales and use tax rates for cities, towns and counties and
their effective dates.
