CITIES RECEIVE $129.3 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $28.9 MILLION
The April distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from February business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from February 16th to February 28th and estimated sales from March 1st to March 15th.
The disbursement of $121,520,385 in sales tax collections was returned to 509 cities and towns reflecting a decrease of $851,218 from the $122,371,603 distributed to 509 cities and towns in April
last year. The use tax disbursement of $7,756,788 was distributed between 376 cities and towns.
In county returns, 77 counties shared in a $26,371,322 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,483,611 was distributed between 75 counties.
The following list includes new sales and use tax rates for cities, towns and counties and their effective dates.
