International Registration Plan (IRP)... Oklahoma is a member of the International Registration Plan (IRP). IRP is an agreement among states and certain Canadian provinces that allows proportional registration of commercial vehicles, with that registration being recognized in all of the jurisdictions. Vehicles are registered on the principle of apportioned registration, which is a means of registering vehicles concurrently for more than one jurisdiction, based on the laden weight and miles traveled within each jurisdiction. The Motor Vehicle Division has a Prorate Section that deals exclusively with IRP issues. They may be reached at 405/521-3036. In addition, designated motor license agencies (tag agencies) are equipped to process IRP transactions. Those agents are designated in the tag agency listing incorporated within this site.
International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)... The International Fuel Tax Agreement

reduce the number of fuel tax reports filed each quarter.
