CITIES RECEIVE $136.1 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $30.9 MILLION

The May distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from March business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from March 16th to March 31st and estimated sales from April 1st to April 15th.

The disbursement of $125,460,643 in sales tax collections was returned to 508 cities and towns reflecting a decrease of $2,664,782 from the $128,125,425 distributed to 509 cities and towns in May last year. The use tax disbursement of $10,681,666 was distributed between 378 cities and towns.

In county returns, 77 counties shared in a $28,089,871 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,819,729 was distributed between 73 counties.

The following list includes new sales and use tax rates for cities, towns and counties and their effective dates.
