CITIES RECEIVE $148.2 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $33.8 MILLION
The July distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission
primarily represents local tax receipts from May business. Companies that remit
more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically.
The monies they reported this period represent sales from May 16th to May 31st
and estimated sales from June 1st to June 15th.
The disbursement of $138,186,160 in sales tax collections was returned to 511 cities and
towns reflecting an increase of $6,673,822 from the $131,512,338 distributed to 510 cities
and towns in July last year. The use tax disbursement of $10,001,254 was distributed
between 379 cities and towns.
In county returns, 77 counties shared in a $30,905,730 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,891,293 was distributed between 74 counties.
The following list includes new sales and use tax rates for cities, towns and counties and
their effective dates.
