CITIES RECEIVE $140.9 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $30.2 MILLION
The October distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from August business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from August 16th to August 31st and estimated sales from September 1st to September 15th.
The disbursement of $140,855,793 in sales tax collections was returned to 509 cities and towns reflecting an increase of $6,043,324 from the $124,540,510 distributed to 508 cities and towns in October last year. The use tax disbursement of $10,271,959 was distributed between 377 cities and towns.
In county returns, 76 counties shared in a $27,753,461 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,472,524 was distributed between 73 counties.
