CITIES RECEIVE $133.9 MILLION
COUNTY RETURNS TOTAL $28.6 MILLION
The November distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from September business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from September 16 th to September 30 th and estimated sales from October 1 st to October 15 th.
The disbursement of $123,302,370 in sales tax collections was returned to 509 cities and towns reflecting an increase of $4,966,871 from the $118,335,499 distributed to 508 cities and towns in November last year. The use tax disbursement of $10,586,336 was distributed between 375 cities and towns.
In county returns, 76 counties shared in a $26,416,468 sales tax disbursement. The use tax disbursement of $2,206,399 was distributed between 73 counties.
